Def Leppard/Poison/Cheap Trick String!

On Saturday, Jon and I went to our last concert for the summer. We went with our friends James and Vannah, and we also got my brother-in-law Ben and his friend Crista to come too!!! We went a little early to park before the concert and tailgate. Jon and I brought our i-pod and bucket to play music while we waited, and soon I was able to persuade everyone into letting me listen to tv theme songs (a mix I created myself a few years ago). Turns out we all know more of the theme songs than we should...bunch of couch potatoes I guess ;) My favorite was when we sang the "Prince of Bel Aire." Jon had turned up the volume pretty loud, and we all sang the theme like few girl scouts around a fire singing Kumbaya. It was SOOOOOO funny! We definitely had some folks staring our way ;) Here's a few pics at the concert!
K has a brand new love....string! She can find string under couches, by unraveling her socks, off the couch, by picking the fibers from her car seat....basically everywhere! Now, you might be amazed by this, but what is even more astonishing is that she LOVES to chew on her new found strings. She will lick them, chew on them like gum, stretch them out, floss, etc. She just can't stand to have it taken away. Here is what it looks like if you do take one of those pesky little strings away:

Peek-a-boo is still one of K's favorite games, unfortunately, now she does it during the most inappropriate times, like dinner time. Here is what happens when you mix K, peek-a-boo hands and spaghetti together!

This week I will be unpacking into my brand new classroom (super excited). Pictures will be coming once I'm done. I just love the room and the school looks awesome! It makes the approaching school year seem that much more inviting!!! Wooooooohoooooo!
