I just wanted to leave a quick post about the first week of school. It went absolutely WONDERFUL...my class rocks!!! Most of them are highly motivated students, which makes my job a trillion times easier. Multiplication cards have already been distributed....they WILL know them by December ;) I have running records to do this week and tons more beginning of the year paperwork. It can get a bit overwhelming at times, but somehow, every year, I get it done.
I do have a small problem and I could totally use any ideas if your willing to offer. Our school hands out a reward system called "honey money" for good behavior. Last week my class received some and when we got back to the classroom I was asked, "Mrs. ummm....Buck-anan...what do we get to do with our honey money?"
I hadn't had a chance to think of anything, so I told the class that I would discuss what honey money could be used for next week. Well...here it is, Sunday night, and I still have no idea. I prefer NOT buying prizes...but what could they buy!?!??!? Please help...all suggestions are welcome! My brain hurts!
K will be going to a regular daycare this week. I'm kinda nervous, but know she'll be great! Can't wait for Mrs. Judy to return!
Maybe extra recess or an icecream party where you can make your own icecream sundae...sounds like you are off to a great school year! I am so glad! I know K will do excellent! Miss you!
