Dear God, If you can't make me thin, make my friends fat!

All I hear is Jon yelling, "Candace, you've got to see this!" 

I was immersed in my school work, so instead of running up the stairs, I just responded, "WHAT!?!?!?"  Turns out I have taught little K a bad habit of mine.  Jon proceeded to tell me that as K ran into the bathroom, she immidiately jumped on the scale before she was ready to get into the tub.  I guess she sees me get on the scale every once-in-awhile and thinks that's something she's supposed to do too.  Oh dear!  What have I done?!?!

Answers to Knitting Questions

Some of you have asked how I learned to knit so quickly.  Well let's just say I didn't use the chopsticks.  Here are pictures of super easy tools that make knitting ten times more exciting, and for me, a hundred times more accurate!

This is what I used to make her hat (the red one).  The others can be used to make other items and the small pink one can make little flowers to decorate your knitting projects with.  Here is a blog I found that shows you how to knit using these tools...click here. I saw both of these at WalMart and Micheals (use weekly 40% off coupon). 

Here is another tool that can be used to make scarves...and I'm sure other items like blankets.  My cousin Carmen and my Grandma worked patiently with me over the weekend.  I made the hat and Carmen made Kelsey a matching scarf.  Trust me...it's way too easy!

My First Knitting Project

Just made a winter hat for Kelsey....only my luck it won't be cold much longer...but it was soooo fun to make!

Kelsey's Mural

I guess I knew it would happen sooner or later...but sooner came first :.(  Kelsey made her first wall mural.  It covered 3 entire walls and 2 doors.  Whoever invented Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is an angel!!!  Kelsey learned that when "we" make a mess "we" clean the mess up ;)  She laughed the whole time and thought it was hilarious.  I guess she just enjoyed helping Mommy do work!  PS...it was a RED crayon of all colors to pick! Note to self: Check hands for missing crayons after coloring.

Mystery Hairdo's

Have you ever woken up from a deep sleep only to have a crazy updo like this one?!?!?  Well we are very fortunate because EVERYDAY, Kelsey wakes up with wild hair just like this!!! I literally have to "wet it down" to get it back to a somewhat normal state!  I'm not sure how she does it...the mystery remains ;)

Back on the Wagon....

I'm guessing I can count this as my first week back on WW!!! And as the first week goes...I lost 4.5 lbs. Which means smaller numbers from here on out. But a loss is always better than a gain. I have a wedding to go to in April and actually want to feel comfortable and look like a million bucks (you know what I mean) while I'm there. I have to set future goals for myself or I find that quitting is pretty easy to do. After that...I want to follow in the footsteps of my friend Shelley...I find myself saying this often...and prepare for a 5K. Summer will be here before you know it (oh dear)!
