I apologize to all my blogging friends for being absent for the past month. I haven't been on here since school started...not because I didn't want to be...only because I have been completely swamped ever since the first day of school. I have been working diligently on my class website for weeks now and I finally think I have it they way I want it now. If you want to check it out, go to: http://www.buchananstars.shutterfly.com/ I am quite impressed with Shutterfly's website applications. I have even considered maybe switching over to Shutterfly instead of Blogspot. But how can I just up and walk away from such a precious little treasure I've worked so hard on here?!?!
School is pretty overwhelming this year. I feel like I say that every year, but I swear the paperwork piles grow and grow. My class is pretty awesome. I have the usual behavior issues, but they are all very sweet and loving. Nothing beats when they come into class first thing in the morning and give me a HUGE hug to start the day. That's what makes it all worth it! I couldn't ask for anything more....well except for good EOG scores by the end of the year ;)
We have been quite busy here in the Buchanan household. Jon has studied religiously for months preparing for the GMAT. He finally took it on Thursday and did very well, so next step for my hubby...GRAD SCHOOL!!! Yay! I'm so proud of him! He is one remarkable husband and Dad!
Kelsey has become much more of a talker now. She now says short sentences in stead of one word demands. She likes to tell us how "funny" she is. Jon and I got to visit my parents for the night a few weeks ago, and my Mom gave me a package with a super cute shirt she had made from a pillow case. I completely love it and Kelsey did too. Her favorite part of her new shirt was the pocket and the buttons...she loves buttons. Here's a picture to show off my Mom's awesome work:
I've decided that the most precious times I have with Kelsey are when we are traveling in the car. It is in the car where Kelsey learns to cheer, learns new words, listens and sings new songs, and of course cries when she's ready to get out...but no matter what the circumstance, it's the only time of day where nothing interferes with our Mommy-Daughter time. Lately Kelsey and I have been working on a few songs. She doesn't sing the entire song, but has picked up on a few lines here and there. She definitely makes me giggle!!!
I will try to be better at blogging again...depending on the workload *wink wink*
Yay! I'm so glad to get an update from you!!Your website looks AWESOME!!! It sounds like you have a great class. Glad things are going well! Miss you!
