Well...I have to say...couponing is soooooo much fun!!! I don't really know if I have saved as much as I want to at this point, but I have enough CVS bucks and Walgreens register rewards to start my new hobby. I was probably the first person today who went to get a newspaper (used to have it delivered, but that a whole different story). I zoomed back home and started clipping. After cutting them ALL out, I began my internet hunt. I don't know if my friend Amy knows this, but lots of people have been looking at her blog for coupon help...including me! I sit by the computer biting my fingernails, waiting for the next update...kinda sick huh?!!?

Anyways, we went to J's parents house on Saturday to celebrate Ben's 30th birthday! Janice (J's Mom) made homemade lasagna and showed me how to make the family recipe. It was huge and looked yummy. I wanted to help prepare dinner and offered to cut stuff up for a salad. Well after I finished cutting almost all the veggies somehow the part of the salad that was in the fridge fell out and veggies went everywhere. Also, a little bowl that had the cucumbers in it fell, broke and shards of glass spread across the kitchen floor. We all got a little laugh out of it, and then and Keith (J's Dad) swept my mess up, I went to chopping all over again! Just my luck. Dinner was yummo! Happy Birthday Benny B!
K has now reached her next milestone; bird flying. She has learned to flap her wings vigorously and kick her legs simultaneously. It is sooo funny! Watch and see:
I entered J and K in the "Cutest Daddy Photo Contest" by http://www.parents.com/. Here is the picture that was entered. If you want to vote, do so here.
It sounds like you are doing great! One tip--don't spend time cutting out ALL of the coupons. I used to do that but it can be very time consuming. What I've learned works for me is to go ahead and cut out what I know I will use. There are some product coupons I just know I will use...ex. All detergent, Colgate toothpaste, Almay makeup, etc. Then on the front of the coupon insert I write the date. I keep a stack of old coupon inserts. Then when I read about a deal that I want to try I find that insert and cut out that specific coupon. Most of the deal blogs I read and link to always tell you where to find the specific coupons that match up with the sales. Hope that helps!
