Take a Deep Breath

The girls are blossoming right before my very own eyes.  Kelsey is probably one of the most loving and helpful big sisters in the world!  She checks on her sister when she's sleeping, brings me diapers when I need them, looks for used bottles and puts them in the sink (without asking), and loves to watch and help me give Ashlyn a bath.  What more could I ask for?!?!  She even calls herself  the "Big Helper" when she is on Big Sis patrol.  Too cute!
Kelsey is almost 3, so birthday preparations are in the making.  We are on the hunt for outdoor items for gifts.  The first thing, and only thing,  she wants to do when she gets home is play outside.  The park near our house is pretty lame since it only consists of 2 slides..blah!  So, our goal is to make sure she has things she can do right in our driveway...backyard is not an option (just a big hill).  If you have ideas...would love to hear them. Looking for a tricycle right now. PS...I can't believe in 2 years she will be starting Kindergarten...oh my!
I had to take Ashlyn to the doctor this week because she has had this super loud (and concerning) breathing while she sleeps.  I taped it on my cell phone, went to the doctor, only to find out that her esophagus has not developed all the way and only time will fix it.  She also has acid reflux (like big sis), which could be the reason she was waking up often at night,  and is now on a twice a day dose of acid reducer.  On a good note...I was given the ok to start putting rice in her bottle!!!  Last night was...A-MAZING!!!  She only got up once between 11:00 and 6:30.  The light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little bigger ;)
Ashlyn is growing very quickly. She now weighs 8 lbs. 11 oz. Most of her new born stuff is getting tight, so now she wears mostly 3 month clothes.  She is very alert when she's awake.  She can almost hold her head up for a decent length of time and can roll to one side or the other.  She loves being outdoors...a little trick I use when she's cranky inside.
Awake...more than you think ;)
And asleep the rest of the time.
