36 Weeks with the EOG's

I am almost 37 weeks now.  I went to the doctor today...good news...didn't gain any weight this week.  Not sure how since I have a new love for chocolate these days.  Ashlyn's heartbeat is 136 bpm...last week it was 129 bpm. Blood pressure was up today (explanation below). Apparently the doctor is optimistic about me lasting the entire 40 weeks now.  I guess I was hoping I could get out of the last few weeks of school, but I guess little A wants to make sure I enjoy every last minute of it ;)
Today my kids took the Reading EOG...I have no idea how they did.  I saw a lot of wrong answers, but that could have been because that's all I was looking for.  I teared up a few times, but got myself together knowing that I've done everything I can do for these little ones this year.  This test half represents me and half represents the student.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a more positive experience.
As my proctor was leaving the room today, she said, "You all did a wonderful job! This was such a long test and I can't wait to see how you'll do tomorrow."
Then a few of my kids, in unison, responded, "Yeah!  We can thank George Bush for making us take the EOG's!"
Maybe letting them know about the "No Child Left Behind" law was a good thing :)  At least they aren't blaming me...hehehe!

  1. Hoping the rest of the EOG's go well for you! You are an awesome teacher and I know those kids learned so much from you this year! Only a few more weeks to meet Miss Ashlyn! Cant wait! :)
