Random thoughts...

What a busy week!!!  Jon and I started working out and we ache EVERYWHERE!!!   I love when someone is able to inspire me to make myself happier and healthier.  My cousin-in-law Dennis, who recently lost a lot of weight, has motivated me to get up off the couch and start working out (I'm only on day 2, but have no plans to stop). I've borrowed his Cardio P90X DVD and can't believe how many muscles on my body are in major pain right now.  I kinda feel AMAZING!!!  The only issue I face now is when to work out during the week.  Do I really want to get up at 5 am or do I want to wait until I get home after dinner and do it around 7 pm (which means I won't be able to go to bed at my regular hour of 9:30 pm)?!?!?  I guess I'll figure it out somehow.
Jon and Kelsey were hanging out the other night and I almost fell out on the floor laughing when I looked and saw this:

Kelsey loves spending time with her Daddy. She'll even talk to the calculator when Dad's on the phone just to be like him ;)
On Friday, the third grade teachers and I had a "lock-in" for the students in our classes that have raised or continued getting awesome grades or for students who have improved in behavior.  We had never done this before, so we wanted it to be pretty BIG so they'll want to work hard for another "lock-in."  I had Kelsey most of the time, so I was more of a behind the scenes person (picking up pizza, setting up the movie, etc). The students helped make Earth Day banners for our school (coming up on April 22), they ate popscicles, played games outside, ate pizza, chips and soda for dinner, played dodgeball in the gym, and finally watched The Bee Movie since we had just finished our unit on plant/pollination.  Kelsey had such a good time.  She loves when the big kids want to play with her!!!  Here is a picture of her ready to play dodgeball in the gym.
Tomorrow after school, I'm finally going to plant my mini garden.  I have a few plants my friend Kim gave me and a few that I've bought as well.  I've never tended my own garden before, so I'm really hoping I can keep my little veggie babies alive.  I mean, everyone else can do it...so why can't I?!?!
Wedding season starts next weekend...3 to go to this year. Pictures and updates to come.  Destination Virginia in 5 days...

  1. Good Job working out. I started doing P90x too. The first week was brutal, but now I'm totally addicted.
