Long time gone...

Wow...I think this is the longest I haven't blogged since I became a bloggerette!!! Ever since school has started, I have become extremely absorbed in work. My class rocks this year! I have such sweet hearted students who are really trying their best everyday. They are hard workers, inquirers and fabulous helpers. My prayers have definitely been answered! Pics coming soon!

Jon's birthday was last week! I can't believe he's already 29...and I'll be there soon....yikes! It's crazy how time flies when your having fun...or staying busy. We had a few of our friends over and played lots of games. I have to say...our friends rock! I didn't take pictures, mostly because I was trying to be a good hostess and truthfully forgot. But there will be many more, so I owe him a few next year! Happy Birthday love bug!

The Horrible Truth About "Big Day Cares."

A few weeks ago, Mrs. Judy, K's home daycare provider, went on a week vacation. I would have taken that week off to stay home but here was the problem: it was the first week of school...and after not being there last year during that time, and having a super tough group, I definitely wanted to be there from day 1 with this group. J has backup daycare through work, so we were able to get K into a daycare for that week Mrs. Judy was out. Let me just say I will NEVER EVER EVER send her to one again. Everyday I picked her up she cried...for food and water. She was only there 5 days and it took me til day 3 to realize that was the problem. I even asked them what she was eating and how much, but was always told what I wanted to hear. I think she lost some weight there. Now she's had a stomach bug ever since (2 weeks later). Why didn't I take her out...I beat myself up over that everyday. What a terrible experience!!! This definitely made me that much more grateful for having Mrs. Judy in our lives. She loves Kelsey so much and has always given the best advice when I need it. I don't know what we'd do with out her.
On a happier note...

We bought K a chair which she absolutely adores. She will walk up to it, turn around, and then sit in it every time we sit on the sofa. Soooooo cute!!!

K points at everything. She's so curious and you can already tell she has a lot she wants to say.

We recently went to a Cori's birthday party at Marbles Museum in downtown Raleigh. That place rocks...tons of stuff for kids to do. Lots of exploring and make believing happening there. I think K might have been a bit too young, but in a year or two we are definitely going back. Here is a pic of her with the birthday group!

New issue: If K is told "No" or she's not allowed to do something, she will fling her body back until she is lying on the floor. I don't know what to do once she does this little action on the hardwood floor...guess she'll have to learn the "hard" way.
At the mall taking a break from window shopping:
Last but not least, here is K's favorite new activity:

I will try better to post more often like old times....life's cluttered!
